What’s Included

We take care of the practical details so you can focus on the experience, the challenge, and

the Arctic wilderness.

All NuukKap experiences include accommodation, transportation of bags, experienced

guides, safety checkpoints, and Satellite/Spot communication throughout the route.

Participants staying in camps will receive breakfast and dinner, as well as tea and coffee in

the evenings. Vegetarian options are available upon request, and all meals are lactose-free.

Every evening, guides hold information meetings covering the next day’s route, weather

conditions, and safety information.

Practical Information

NuukKap takes place from 2–5 July 2026 in the remote Nuuk Fjord system of Greenland.

Participants can choose between:

● 110 km in 3 days

● 110 km direct

● 40 km in 1 or 2 days

The route passes through mountains, fjords, rivers, and technical Arctic terrain with changing

weather conditions and limited mobile coverage along most of the journey.

Participants should arrive physically prepared for long distances, uneven terrain, and true

Arctic wilderness conditions.

A detailed equipment and information guide will be sent before the event.

What to Bring

The Arctic weather can change quickly, even during summer, so proper equipment is

essential.

Participants should bring:

● Trail running or hiking shoes

● Waterproof jacket and pants

● Warm layers

● Backpack

● Sleeping bag

● Water bottles or hydration system

● Snacks and lunch food

● Energy bars

● Extra socks

● Hat and gloves

● Personal medication

● Power bank

● Personal hygiene items

A complete packing list will be provided before the event.

Safety & Support

Participant safety is our highest priority.

Our experienced guides and support crew monitor all runners and hikers throughout the

route. Everyone is checked in at designated checkpoints, and a guide always stays at the

back of the group to make sure nobody is left behind.

Because there is limited mobile coverage throughout the fjord system, we use Satellite/Spot

communication for additional safety and emergency coordination.

Participants should be prepared for changing Arctic weather, physically demanding terrain,

and remote wilderness conditions.

Nature sets the rules in Greenland — and that is part of what makes NuukKap such a unique

experience.

Kapisillit Festival

When participants arrive in Kapisillit, the adventure continues with the Kapisillit Festival

celebration.

Friends, locals, runners, hikers, and visitors gather together to celebrate the finish line with:

● Live music

● Food and drinks

● Kiosk and refreshments

● Cozy Greenlandic atmosphere

● Celebration and community

After days in the wilderness, the arrival in Kapisillit becomes a memorable and emotional

ending to the NuukKap journey.
